Dyslexia and neuro-diversity support in the workplace
Neuro-diversity is a term which covers dyslexia, dyspraxia, AD(H)D and the autistic spectrum. Neuro-diversity can offer creativity, problem solving, intuitive decision making and the ability to relate to people well. It can also create frustration through lack of concentration, time management, poor memory and organisation skills.
All our dyslexia support packages work from that basis and seek to identify ways in which you can harness creativity and reduce difficulties.
We offer diagnostics, work based assessments, HR and Manager training as well as strategy coaching.
- A diagnostic assessment is a half day of testing with a Chartered Psychologist, in order to understand your cognitive profile.
- A work based assessment takes place at your work site. It involves an assessment of your neuro-diverse needs and strengths and results in adaptive work place strategies and / or technological solutions, which will allow you to work at your best, more of the time.
- Training for HR professionals and managers is often offered as open access courses. Check the news to see if there is a course in your area soon. We can also put together an in house training, or a policy consultancy package for your company.
- Coaching can be 1:1 in person or on the phone. You can also ask to join a peer coaching group, where you will meet with 6-9 peers to develop new strategies. All our coaches are training business coaches, so rather than coming from an educational background alone they are specifically focused on professional issues.
